Privacy Policy

The short version: FloTop has no accounts, no ads and no analytics. Your windows, layouts, notes, widgets and files stay on your Mac, and nothing is ever sent to us.
What stays on your Mac
Everything FloTop works with stays on your Mac and is never sent to us: the list of your windows and apps, your layouts, schedule, notes, widgets and their settings, desktop groups and their files, your clipboard history and the events and reminders FloTop shows. FloTop reads your calendars, reminders, music and photos through macOS, only for the widgets you add, and only with your permission.
Clipboard History keeps recent copies only in memory while FloTop runs; starred favorites are saved on your Mac until you un-star them. Items copied from password managers are never kept.
What FloTop sends
FloTop goes online only for these, and never to us:
- Your license key. When you enter one, FloTop sends the key and your Mac’s name to Lemon Squeezy, our payment provider, to activate it, and checks it again now and then while you’re online.
- Spotify artwork. When the Music widget shows a song playing in Spotify, it downloads the album artwork from Spotify.
- Images you save. When you save an image from a web page to the File Shelf with FloTop’s browser extension, FloTop downloads that image from the site it’s on.
Nothing else is sent: no usage data, no crash reports and nothing about your windows or files.
Buying FloTop
Purchases are handled by Lemon Squeezy as merchant of record. They collect what’s needed to take payment and send your receipt (such as your name, email address, billing country and payment details) under the Lemon Squeezy privacy policy. We see your order (your name, email and what you bought) so we can help you with it; we never see your card details.
Emailing us
If you email support, we use your message and address only to answer you.

FloTop doesn’t knowingly collect anything from anyone, including children.
Changes
If what FloTop sends ever changes, we’ll update this page first. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
