Common questions

Why does FloTop need Accessibility access?

macOS only lets apps list other apps’ windows and bring them forward with Accessibility access. FloTop uses it for its tabs, shortcuts and layouts, and never to read what you type. Turn it on in System Settings › Privacy & Security › Accessibility.

What happens when my free trial ends?

FloTop keeps working as the free version. The tab bar, the paid widgets and anything past the free version’s limits are greyed out with an Unlock button. Nothing is deleted: when you unlock FloTop, everything comes back as it was.

How do I enter my license key?

Your key is in the email you got after buying. In FloTop, click any Unlock button, or open Settings › General, and enter it there. FloTop checks it with our payment provider once, and everything is unlocked.

How do I move my license to a new Mac?

One purchase works on up to three Macs at once. To free one up, open FloTop on the old Mac, go to Settings › General and choose Remove License from This Mac, then enter your key on the new Mac. If the old Mac is gone, email us and we’ll free it up for you.

I lost my license key.

Search your email for your FloTop receipt from Lemon Squeezy, our payment provider: the key is in it. You can also find your orders at app.lemonsqueezy.com/my-orders with the email you bought with. Still stuck? Email us.

What does “Sync with the Reminders app” do?

It makes the Reminders app the home for your FloTop reminders. Turn it on in FloTop’s Settings › Schedule (it’s part of the full version, and FloTop asks for access to your reminders).

While it’s on, any reminder you add to FloTop’s schedule, from the sidebar’s Scheduled Today, becomes a real reminder in your default Reminders list, with its time and repeat days. The Reminders app alerts you when it’s due, on your iPhone and other devices too through iCloud, even when FloTop isn’t running. Today’s reminders, and overdue ones, from all your lists show in Scheduled Today, where the circle checks one off.

Turning it on also moves the reminders already in FloTop’s schedule into the Reminders app, except ones set to run at startup or turned off, which stay in FloTop. Turning it off later leaves your reminders in the Reminders app; new ones you add in FloTop stay in FloTop again.

Can I get a refund?

Yes: within 30 days of buying, for any reason. See the refund policy.

Which Macs does FloTop run on?

Any Mac with macOS 14 Sonoma or later, with Apple silicon or an Intel processor.
